*COVID 19

CrossRoads Brewing & Distillery is announcing a temporary closure of indoor and outdoor dining effective Monday, Dec 7th, 2020. “As everyone is aware, Covid-19 is having a devastating impact globally. Prince George and Northern BC have seen increasing numbers over the past several weeks. Northern BC now has the highest per capita rate of Covid-19 positive infections in the province. UHNBC, our regional hospital, is becoming overwhelmed with an ICU that is operating at capacity, the hospital has an inpatient population consistently over 100% of available beds. It is not just our beds and bed availability, it is our people that staff those beds. Our nurses, doctors, xray/lab techs, cleaners, support staff and administration are working with increased workloads, increased stressors and with little relief in sight. They worry about their own health and the health of their families. As a physician working within our community, I feel that we need to do what we can to help in any way possible. As the owner of CrossRoads, I feel that it is my responsibility to protect our community, my staff at CrossRoads,  my friends and colleagues at UHNBC and those that have and continue to support us.  Closing the restaurant for indoor/outdoor dining at a time when our health authority and our provincial health officer, Dr Bonnie Henry, is imploring people to minimize contacts and to stay at home is the right thing for CrossRoads to do at this time. We may be the first breaker, and hopefully not alone, in a circuit breaker strategy to flatten the curve and support our health care workers and the general population”.

We would like to thank all those that support us and continue to support us in these difficult times.

The restaurant will continue to offer home delivery and takeout services, as well as be available for off sales/merchandise/gift card sales from 12pm – 9pm effective December 7th.

We want to re-open our indoor dining as early and as safely as possible. For updated information please check back here or visit our website.

BREWERY

CrossRoads represents the points at which critical decisions are made. It also represents Prince George as the geographic centre of the province, highlighted by the convergence of the Nechako and Fraser rivers, the intersection of highways 16 and 97, and the crossing of the railway.

The brewery is located in a 70 year-old historic building in downtown Prince George. Originally built as a garage and car dealership in 1946, the building housed a number of businesses before sitting empty for many years. The brewery owners saw the building’s unique potential. They purchased it and undertook extensive renovations, making it an anchor business in a revitalizing downtown area. The manufacturing facility features the original brewhouse and tanks from Central City Brewing, which at its peak, made 8,000 hectolitres annually of World Beer Cup winning beer

Unsurprisingly like many good things, it started over a few beers.
